If you have trouble with patches of dried-out skin, especially in your face and arms. How much severity has a tendency to vary using the weather, as well as your diet. Sometimes these patches often get scratchy, not to mention there is the temptation to scratch, but this only helps make the problem worse and increases the risk of infection.

Listed here are some suggestions to people who fight dried-out skin patches.

Tips for Dry Skin Patches

1. Helpful tips. Namely, drink more water and make certain you are getting enough Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids (from seafood, nuts, supplements, etc).

2. Change to natural soaps and creams. This is actually the simplest way of preventing irritating chemicals (I’ll provide you with a listing below) which make dry patches of skin worse. Always browse the elements label before buying to be certain it does not have a skin irritant.

3. Exfoliate. I love chemical exfoliant for example Alpha Hydroxyl Acidity body product, but many people prefer abrasive type exfoliants. This can be a personal choice, but make certain you are exfoliating regularly to slough old, dead skin cells.

4. Moisturize having pure plant oil. I believe the 2 best plant oils for moisturizing are coconut oil and camellia oil. You only have to use one of these simple. Other popular options are jojoba oil, essential olive oil, and almond oil. Whatever you decide, make certain it’s 100% oil and it has no chemicals
Look pretty in or out of lipstick with soft, smooth, kissable lips. Here’s how to treat dry chapped lips so you can have a beautiful mouth.

Dry chapped lips are not only unattractive, they make a mess of lipstick application. If you want to wear lipstick, or look pretty without it, you need a smooth mouth. A beautiful mouth is a kissable mouth, so don’t forget the rewards you’ll get for your efforts.

Avoid dry chapped skin altogether by applying lip balm daily. Actually, several times a day. Once you get in the habit of moisturizing your lips, you won’t like how they feel bare. Hunt down your favorite balm and keep a tube in your purse, desk drawer, bedside stand, medicine cabinet, pocket. You get the idea. The more ready access you have to the goods, the more likely it is you’ll use them. This works with chocolate too, so give your supply of that to someone you trust and asked to be doled out one piece a day.

Back to lips. If you’ve already got the dried-up version, you’ll need to exfoliate before you moisturize. You do this the same way you exfoliate any part of your skin, by scrubbing with either a wet cloth, loofah or grainy product made for the job. You can also make your own lip exfoliant by combining a little sugar with olive oil till you have a paste, then rubbing enthusiastically with your finger. Rinse off and follow up with lip balm.

Once your lips are in good shape, show them off as much as possible. Find a flattering new lipstick to draw attention to your mouth, have your teeth whitened and smile a lot. Somebody will surely want to kiss you.

When you hear about wrinkles and skin aging, your first thoughts are about face and neck. But the earliest signs of aging will show on your hands.

Often neglected, hands need to be regularly taken care of. Frequent contacts with water and chemicals, sun, cold weather, gardening – all put your skin under a big stress. While hands do not have many oil glands, they will give away your age earlier than your pampered face.

In the meantime, it has been noticed that after making eye contact, the next thing people pay attention to is your hands.

What can you do to keep your hands beautiful?

* Moisturize! Several times a day. Dry skin is easily injured and looks wrinkled.

* Protect your hands – wear gloves when gardening, washing dishes, or dealing with chemicals

* Use sun protection

* Keep your hands dry. Any water left on your hands will evaporate and dry out the skin.

* Give your hands a special treatment – herbal or oil bath – once in a while.

Here are a few suggestions for your next hand spa:

(1) Herbal hand bath:

Bring 1 qt of water to boil and pour over 1 tbsp of herbs (you can use all of these or just one: chamomile, nettle, sage, coltsfoot, calendula). Let the infusion cool to 100-110F and soak your hands in it for about 15-20 minutes. Dry your hands thoroughly and apply a rich moisturizer.

(2) You can make your own nourishing hand cream:

Thoroughly mix 1 teaspoon of honey and 3 tbsp of unsalted butter. Add 1 tbsp of strong herbal infusion. This will make a very rich cream. It will take a while to absorb, but leave your hands silky and smooth.

(3) For dry skin use this hand treatment 1-2 times a week:

* 1 tbsp Glycerin

* 1 Egg yolk

* 2 tbsp vegetable oil (olive, almond, or another oil of your choice)

* Lemon Juice of 1 lemon

* 3 1/2 – 4 oz of an herbal infusion (for example: chamomile, calendula, elderflower) or rose water.

Why does your skin become drier during the winter months? Because many of us are exposed to factors that cause us to lose moisture, including the soaps that we used on a daily basis.

Take fewer showers

Dermatologists recommend that we limit the number of showers or baths that we take. For those of us who simply must bathe frequently, try spending a little less time in the tub/shower.

While many of us like a hot shower, try adjusting the water temperature. Make it warm, rather than hot. The hotter the water, the more it depletes your skin and hair of natural moisture. Try switching to gentle cleansers, ones that do not contain a lot of harsh chemicals: Aveeno, Dove, Nuetrogena, or Tea Tree Gel Therapeutic Body Moisturizer.

Lay it on thick!

If you?re like me, then you don?t care for the feel of thick, heavy, greasy moisturizers. But, let?s face it, they work best. If you cannot tolerate the heavy stuff, then you might want to mix it with a lighter lotion, but make sure to avoid products containing alcohol. It?s best if you apply your moisturizer right after bathing.

Don?t forget to drink lots of water, at least 8 fluid ounces per day and add a humidifier to your arsenal, especially if your house has forced-air heating.
